Alright, this is the story that reminded me that I had been seriously neglecting this blog.
How could I let this one get by without saying something.
In case you haven't been paying attention to the Boston Bomb scare that turned out to be a cartoon promotion, go read about it here and then come back to read the rest of this.
So Boston authorities, feeling a little ashamed of thinking the city was littered with Improvised Explosive Devices is pressing a case against these guys saying that "if they had been explosive devices they could have caused massive damage to the infrastructure."
Well, yes... I suppose that is sound logic. If they had in fact been bombs, then they may have caused damage to the city. Could we say that about coke machines littering the city. Perhaps if they were explosive devices, they too could do irreperable harm and take many human lives.
Is that really case law we want on the books? It seems like kind of a stretch to me.
A suggestion for Boston: give these guys a ticket for littering and never speak of this event again.
Mark my words, these guys are going to end up getting a TV show deal out of this:
